Today the Stampin' Up 2016-2017 Catalog became available online. The wait is over!! You can now checkout all the wonderful new products that are available for the next year. The PDF version of the catalog is too much to download here, but if interested please drop me a note and I will be sure to e-mail you out a copy. Or you can digitally check out the new catalog here. There are several things on my wish list for this new catalog, but from the get go I immediately knew that I will have to have the new Jar of Love Photopolymer (clear stamps) bundle. So many cute ideas and uses for this stamp set. If you make homemade gifts in jars you can use it for those, as well as your scrapbook pages, or on your cards. Another great idea is to create a family cookbook. Sit down with your grandmother, grandfather, mother, father, or child and create a cookbook with all of their favorite recipes in it. What a terrific way to make a lasting memory for generations to come. Finally, on today's spotlight on new products is the Swirly Bird Photopolymer (clear stamp) bundle. When I first saw this set I wasn't at all impressed with it. However, as my fellow demonstrators have been posting projects that exhibit versatility and thinking outside the box this stamp set has become a must have accessory. Checkout this project created by Kathy Johnson Gillon. Love this idea. I would have never thought of using this set for this project. Then I allowed myself to start thinking outside the box and envisioning things other than flowers. These dies and stamps could be used to create sandy beaches or ocean waves, and the stamps could be used to create a sailboat. As you look through the new catalog be sure to make your wishlist and remember that holding a party can help you earn FREE product as well as up to 50% off on an item. Since my last post in 2012 life has thrown a lot of curve balls at me, and there wasn't a lot of creativity flowing. However, since last year things have changed dramatically and my creativity is flowing and I am re-discovering who I am. The one thing I found was that creativity is in my blood and I am a paper crafter. Although, I am expanding my horizons and trying new outlets such as adding water coloring to my card creating and canvas, paper crafting is still at my core.
Over the past few months I have been working on a variety of projects and instead of writing a post on each one I added a Recent Projects page where I have provided photos of all my creativity of late. If there are any tutorials you would like to see demonstrated or instructions please leave a comment and I will be sure to post those for you. Happy Scrapping Tricia Newest addition to the Christmas cards for cancer drive. Think I am really in love with this one. I am pretty partial to snowmen!!!
I have been busy creating Christmas cards for a cancer benefit for a friend's nephew. Here is just one of the cards I have been working on. How are you expressing your creativity this season?
Today I worked on a Thank You card for a customer. I brushed the edges of the card and the oval circle, then sponged the emelishments with Cocoa CTMH's Exclusive Ink. The butterfly was cut from CTMH Dotty for You paper pack and then I used the paper piercing kit to stitch the center of the butterfly. The flowers are creme brulee paper flowers with Colonial White brads. Lastly the swirls were created with the CTMH/Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge.
Today I created this birthday card as my entry into Friskars Fuse Giveaway. Friskars is sponsoring a free giveaway for their new Fuse System;
a prize pack worth $1000. For those who received the Creating Keepsakes Sept./Oct. issue the Fuse embelishments are on an insert within the magazine or they can be downloaded from the site. I selected the butterfuly Fuse embelishment as my focal point; distressing the edges with an edge distresser then distressing it with Close to My Heart's Exclusive Ink in Cocoa. For the base of this 7"x5" card I used CTMH Colonial Cardstock and Friskars/CTMH's paper cutter with the quick guide measurements. Then the background is CTMH's Stella B&T duo paper's. For the small 3-D butterflies I cut two butterflies from the CTMH Dotty for You Paper pack and then cut one three inch and one four inch rosette from the CTMH/Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge. The last day to enter is September 2 and voting begins on September 3. So if you don't enter please remember to vote for me beginning Sept. 3. Happy Scrapping! New at this blogging thing, but going to give it a whirl. Tonight researched tea bag folding and can't wait to start some new projects with this technique.
