Today I worked on a Thank You card for a customer. I brushed the edges of the card and the oval circle, then sponged the emelishments with Cocoa CTMH's Exclusive Ink. The butterfly was cut from CTMH Dotty for You paper pack and then I used the paper piercing kit to stitch the center of the butterfly. The flowers are creme brulee paper flowers with Colonial White brads. Lastly the swirls were created with the CTMH/Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge.
Today I created this birthday card as my entry into Friskars Fuse Giveaway. Friskars is sponsoring a free giveaway for their new Fuse System;
a prize pack worth $1000. For those who received the Creating Keepsakes Sept./Oct. issue the Fuse embelishments are on an insert within the magazine or they can be downloaded from the site. I selected the butterfuly Fuse embelishment as my focal point; distressing the edges with an edge distresser then distressing it with Close to My Heart's Exclusive Ink in Cocoa. For the base of this 7"x5" card I used CTMH Colonial Cardstock and Friskars/CTMH's paper cutter with the quick guide measurements. Then the background is CTMH's Stella B&T duo paper's. For the small 3-D butterflies I cut two butterflies from the CTMH Dotty for You Paper pack and then cut one three inch and one four inch rosette from the CTMH/Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge. The last day to enter is September 2 and voting begins on September 3. So if you don't enter please remember to vote for me beginning Sept. 3. Happy Scrapping! New at this blogging thing, but going to give it a whirl. Tonight researched tea bag folding and can't wait to start some new projects with this technique.
